Jim Merrill Joins Cal/West Seeds In The Position Of Chief Financial Officer

Mr. James (Jim) Merrill has joined Cal/West Seeds in the position of Chief Financial Officer effective December 15, 2008. Jim is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with over 10 years of senior financial management experience.
Jim has over twenty years of experience in accounting and financial reporting. In addition to having finance and accounting experience in non-ag related business, Jim has a broad background in cooperative accounting having held several positions with Blue Diamond Growers including inventory accounting supervisor, cost accountant, financial analyst, controller and director of treasury operations
As CFO, Jim will be responsible for Human Resources, Insurance, Accounting, Information Systems, Banking as well as administrator for our Profit Sharing and 401K-plans.
