Cal/West Seeds Names John Palmer Their New Operations Manager

Cal/West Seeds is pleased to announce that John Palmer has joined the company as Operations Manager effective July 27, 2009. John will be located at the Corporate Offices in Woodland, CA and will be responsible for inventory management, and oversight of plant operations, customer service and quality control.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Cal/West team having worked in a wide range of positions within the J G Boswell Company, Dow AgroSciences, California Planting Cotton Seed Distributors (CPCSD), Bayer Crop Sciences and most recently Absorbent Technologies. His educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in Plant Science from UC Davis and a Masters in Agronomy from Kansas State University.
In addition to his qualifications, John is active in the California seed industry currently serving as President of the California Seed Association. He also serves as a Director and is a past president for the California Crop Improvement Association.

I’ve worked with these folks since 1980 when I was at Boswell and am very, very glad to be joining an operation with their excellent reputation.”
John and his wife Sharon currently reside in Bakersfield, CA., and plan on relocating to the Woodland/ Davis area in the near future.
