Quality Control
The success of Cal/West's quality control program rests upon its ability to make everyone in the organization, from the grower and the agronomist, to the plant operations staff and Seed Lab staff feel a genuine responsibility for the quality of the seed we ship to our customers.Field Production
Seed Quality begins in the field by selecting top-notch seed growers who work with our staff of Field Agronomist to carefully manage agronomic and harvest practices. Over 150 Cal/West members maintain an ownership position in the association. This member/grower base is a foundation of the company. Quality means more to our growers as they have an important stake in the success and reputation of the organization. Consistently producing high quality seed helps guarantee Cal/West's leadership role in the forage seed industry.

Seed Conditioning
Cal/West currently
operates 3 modern seed conditioning facilities staffed by some of the industry's most experienced and skilled seed cleaning specialists. Our facilities are strategically located in proximity to the main production areas and our grower base.
Seed Lab
Cal/West Seed lab conducts more than 3,500 complete purity and germination examinations conducted each year.
Our lab is supervised by an experienced Registered Seed overseeing the staff and ensuring that standards of excellence are maintained for shipping of products to more than 30 countries around the world.
